Bais Yaakov  Preschool is a warm and happy place.  The classes are small, and we pride ourselves on the individual love and attention which our caring staff provides for our children. We have one pre-nursery and several nurseries and kindergartens.  Our students’ ages range between three and six years old.

We strive to help each girl feel proud to be a Bas Yisroel, comfortable in her Judaism.  Our goal is to provide the necessary guidance to help her develop refined character traits, a feeling of empathy for other people, and a healthy self- esteem.  We encourage her to learn how to problem solve and not to be afraid to make a mistake.

Young children are naturally curious and excited  about learning, so we use a variety of media to stimulate this interest.  Through stories, arts and crafts, songs and dramatic play , the curriculum becomes alive for the children.  Preschool topics include prayer and the blessings, the weekly  Torah reading, Shabbos and the Jewish holidays.  The Hebrew and English alphabets are introduced in the nursery, and the children are brought to a very high level of reading readiness in kindergarten.  In addition, several science and social studies units are covered.  Math concepts, colors, and shapes are taught and reinforced on all three grade levels.  A formal math program is used in kindergarten.

Our specialties include art, music, and gym.  A social skills program is taught in the kindergarten.
