Over the last 2+ decades, the Ladies Auxiliary has built a successful Certificate Program. This program supports the school’s budget while families make regular purchases – groceries and the like.
Below is a brief explanation of the program and your obligation as parents:
Each family is responsible to spend $7,500 using the certificate program thorough out the year. This year’s cycle will begin for ALL parents of the 2017- 2018 school year on JULY 1, 2017 and will end June 30, 2018.
There are 2 ways to fulfill your monetary obligation:
1. Purchasing gift cards: Gift cards to MANY major retailers –online and in-store (see reverse side for list) are available via the Bais Yaakov offices and other locations throughout town.
Writing your checks out to BY when paying at Shlomo’s Butcher Shop, Wasserman, Sher Auto or Harris Auto:2. These businesses allow you to pay your bill with a check made out to BY. That amount will count towards your obligation as well. Be sure to clearly write your Family School ID on the memo line.
So… What do I need to do at this time?
We STRONGLY advise parents to start buying gift cards to reach your obligation.
At the end of the cycle, we will calculate what was spent- gift cards purchased and checks made out to BY at the establishments listed above.
• If it is less than $7,500, a bill will be sent for 5% of the balance. The most you will be billed for is $375.
• If it is MORE than $7,500, 1% of the overage will be credited to your tuition for the COMING year- namely, 2018 – 2019.
Good News: Family and friends may help you reach your scrip obligation, have them notate your family’s Bais Yaakov number when purchasing gift cards.
